MY STRATEGIES
Your track record, through an allocator's eyes
Upload a strategy. Pyrite runs it through the same analytics it applies to every hedge fund in its database. Keep the results to yourself or share them when you are ready.
From upload to allocators
| What you do | What you get | |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Upload | Send a tear sheet or a returns table. | Your return series, read and checked. |
| 2. Activate | Activate your private strategy. | A strategy saved in your profile, private to you. |
| 3. Analyze | Ask the AI, use templates, build charts and reports. | Risks, exposures, detected style, and your rank against the database. |
| 4. Keep it current | Add new months as they come. | Up-to-date analytics, and a clear date on every figure. |
| 5. Share, if you choose | Register, sign, and choose how far your strategy goes. | Named recipients, or every allocator on Pyrite. |
Upload your strategy
Upload a tear sheet or a returns table. Pyrite reads it and computes its metrics.
- Formats: PDF, Excel (.xlsx), CSV or Word (.docx).
- History: at least 18 months of returns, one row per month, or one row per year with the months across.
- Scanned documents: image-only PDFs are read automatically, and the figures are checked against the document's own annual totals.
Before anything is saved, Pyrite shows what it read (strategy name, manager or firm name, stated style, return series) and what it calculated (the usual risk metrics and cumulative performance).
Activate your private strategy
Once uploaded, your strategy is activated as a private strategy: $20 at creation, then $5 per month. It stays private to you; it is not added to the shared fund universe.
Institutional accounts receive their first five private strategies, and their maintenance, free.
Analyze it like a hedge fund
Your strategy appears as "Your upload" at the top of the fund list, everywhere in the app. Analyze it with every tool:
- AI Chat: ask questions in plain English, get answers with charts. Explore AI Chat.
- Templates: pre-built analysis workspaces; every block runs on your strategy.
- Manual Charts: build any chart step by step. Explore Charts.
- Report Builder: combine charts and text into reports, and export them to PDF.
What you learn, over 18 months, 2, 3 or 5 years:
- Performance and risk: Sharpe, Sortino, maximum drawdown, conditional VaR, MPPM, serial correlation, skew, kurtosis and more.
- Exposures: correlations and regressions against about 2,000 assets, factors, styles and economic series. Explore Methods and Metrics.
- Detected style: the probability that your returns behave like each of ten hedge fund styles. The model's reading can legitimately differ from your stated style; that difference is what allocators notice first.
- Your rank: where your Sharpe ratio, Sortino ratio and drawdown sit among all funds in the database, and among funds of your stated style.
You compare yourself by looking at ~20 anonymized hedge funds in full detail, and more importantly, with the whole industry through percentiles and distributions.
Keep it current
Add new months one by one, or import a file with two columns, month and return. Pyrite keeps your history and recalculates everything.
Each strategy carries a strategy date: the date its data represents. Thirty days after that date, a shared strategy is marked "Update required" and you receive an email reminder. Recipients always know how fresh your figures are.
Publication and recipient access stay attached to your strategy through every update.
Your data stays yours
- You keep ownership. Uploading data transfers no ownership of your data to Pyrite.
- No one else sees it. Other users cannot see, search or download your strategy unless you choose to share it.
- Aggregate use only. Once your strategy is published, Pyrite may use your data in anonymized, aggregated form, for industry-wide and style-wide statistics. Your strategy will contribute to the industry-wide and stated style-wide statistics. It is never shown in a way that identifies you.
- You can delete it. Remove a strategy at any time. If you end your subscription, your data is deleted within 30 days.
Publication is information, not solicitation
Pyrite is not your placement agent, broker or marketer, and a listing is not an offer of your fund. When you sign the declaration, you confirm that your data is accurate, that you will keep it current, and that sharing complies with the rules that apply to you, including the SEC Marketing Rule if you are a registered adviser.
Pyrite does not verify uploaded data and may label listings as user-submitted. Pyrite may decline or remove a listing. Once published to all, your strategy's history may be retained in the database and visible in Allocator's accounts even after you withdraw it from view. Read the Strategy Publication Declaration.
A note for managers who are also investors: Qualified Purchaser allocator accounts can receive, analyze and publish strategies, but an Accredited Investor account cannot publish.
